The 33rd “Traditional Crafts & Tastes of Shinagawa Exhibition”

The arts and crafts on display include vivid Edo-kiriko (Edo cut glass), wasai (Japanese dressmaking), and kusakizome tebataorimono (textile work using plants as dyes). Skilled professionals in these arts and more from the Shinagawa Traditional Crafts Preservation Group will have demonstration booths. Get creative at an experience corner taught by master artisans and enjoy the various events scheduled. Please come!

Date and Time: January 27 (Sat.) and 28 (Sun.), 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Event Hall, Curian7F (in front of Oimachi Station)

Traditional Crafts
Butsuzo chokoku (Buddhist statue sculpting), kotto shuri (antique repairing), Edo-kiriko (Edo cut glass), wasai (Japanese dressmaking), nihon shishu (Japanese embroidery), hyogu (picture framing), pottery, chochin moji (paper lantern calligraphy), ribiyo hasami (hairdresser scissors), Edo sudare (Edo bamboo blind), urushi kogei (lacquerware), kanaami (metal mesh), Tokyo tegaki yuzen (Tokyo yuzen dyeing with handdrawn patterns), Tokyo kiritansu (Tokyo paulownia wood chests of drawers), kusakizome tebataorimono (textile work using plants as dyes), and tatami

Japanese tea, bread and Japanese sweets
