Evacuation Sites for Escaping Storms and Floods

● Independent Evacuation Facilities
These are facilities that accept residents who feel unsafe in their homes. Until now, compulsory education schools and Silver Centers had served this purpose. From now on, however, there will be one or two schools in each of Shinagawa City’s thirteen communities serving as evacuation sites.

Facility Name

1. Shinagawa Gakuen 6. Tachiai Elementary School 11. Shimizudai Elementary School
2. Jonan Elementary School 7. Hamakawa Elementary School 12. Ebara-Hiratsuka Gakuen
3. Dai-ichi Hino Elementary School 8. Ito Gakuen 13. Ohara Elementary School
4. Dai-san Hino Elementary School 9. Ito Elementary School 14. Hoyonomori Gakuen
5. Hosui Elementary School 10. Ushiroji Elementary School 15. Yashio Gakuen

Notes:
1. Shinagawa City staff open and run these evacuation facilities.
2. You can evacuate to any of the abovementioned facilities, but please use the one nearest you when evacuating if possible.

● Landslide Evacuation Site
Hino Gakuen is excluded from the evacuation sites since it is located in the Meguro River’s predicted flood area. If you live near Hino Gakuen, please evacuate to Gotenyama Elementary School or Dai-san Hino Elementary School.
Note: Flood evacuation sites (for the Meguro River) and high-tide flood evacuation sites (for the Tachiai River) remain the same.
