Osaki Library Opens on June 1 (Fri.)!

The Osaki Library is opening on the second floor of a complex whose tenants include clinics and rehabilitation facilities. We plan to provide many titles suited for these facilities that focus on health-related topics.

Hours: Monday to Saturdays: from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Sundays and national holidays: from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Closed: The second Thursday of the month, and during the year-end/New Year’s holidays and special maintenance periods
No. of materials/books: Approx. 60,000 general titles (including CDs and magazines), 20,000 children’s books, 30,000 books in storage, 17 newspapers
Equipment: Elevator, gender-/disabled-neutral toilet, baby seats/breastfeeding space, parking spaces for the disabled (please contact us in advance to use these), PCs for web browsing, and seating for those bring their own PCs

Please feel free to make use of the Osaki Station West Exit Library Facility (Osaki Kodomo Toshoshitsu)
You can receive Shinagawa Municipal Library materials you’ve reserved, return materials, and apply for/renew a library card. This library houses a collection of books—including picture books—as well as picture-story shows for infants and toddlers. The facility also hosts storytelling sessions that both parents and children can enjoy on an ongoing basis.
