Shinagawa Eco Festival 2018
Let’s Expand the “Eco-no-Wa” (Circle of Ecology) Together!

Enjoy various exhibits and attractions related to ecology.
Head to Shinagawa Central Park on May 27 (Sun.).

Date and time: May 27 (Sun.), 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Note: Will be held even in light rain
Locations: Shinagawa Central Park (in front of the Shinagawa City Office) and Small and Medium Enterprise Center (1-28-3 Nishi-Shinagawa)
Notes:
1. Shinagawa City Office parking lots cannot be used.
2. The number of bicycle parking spaces is limited. Please use public transportation.

Program:
• Environmentally friendly workshop
• Flea market
• Environment exhibition booths
• Booths selling food, drink and other products
• Main stage performances—Shinagawa Eco Festival orientation; Kankyo Sentai Eco Ranger Show; wadaiko (traditional Japanese drum) performance; eco science performance; creative bamboo instrument performance; children’s recycled clothing fashion show; concert; dance performance and more
• Attractions (dance performances, instrumental performances, air-type slide, 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic experience corner and more
• Electric vehicle test rides (10:30 a.m. to noon, and 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.)
• Fuel and battery-operated vehicle test drives (10:30 to 11:30 a.m., and 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.)
• Food drive (charity to contribute unused food at home)

● The Small and Medium Enterprise Center Festival takes place at the same time.

Date and time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• Exhibits featuring various types of artwork (photography, flower arrangement, calligraphy, India ink painting and more)
• Sale of traditional Shinagawa foods, including grilled dumplings, Japanese sweets and more
There are other programs as well.
• Events

  • Demonstrations of traditional crafts (pottery and wazao [Japanese fishing rods])
  • Family igo classes; 10:00 a.m. to noon
  • Knife-sharpening (up to two knives per person; reception open until 2:00 p.m.)
  • Family woodcrafts class (making mosaic tiles and nameplates)
  • Tea ceremony section
  • Sunday Concert Special, 1:00 to 3:45 p.m.
