The 34th Shinagawa Disaster Prevention Fair


 
 
Keeping in mind the lessons learned from previous earthquakes and disasters, Shinagawa City holds the Shinagawa Disaster Prevention Fair so that everyone in our city can improve their disaster prevention skills in preparation for a major metropolitan earthquake and various disasters. We are waiting for your visit.

Date and time: March 10 (Sat.), 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

1. Will be canceled in case of rain
2. Events may be subject to change.
Location: Shinagawa Chuo Park and Shinagawa City Office Disaster Prevention Center/Dai-ni Chosha 2F and 3F

● Jijo-kun Point Get Rally!
You can earn points at the booths in the event and get premiums by lottery at the lobby of Shinagawa City Office Disaster Prevention Center 3F.


● Fire department ladder truck ride
(Shinagawa Chuo Park multipurpose area)
Twenty pairs of participants selected by lottery in the morning and afternoon can board a fire department ladder truck.
Reception location: At the Shinagawa Chuo Park multipurpose area near the wooden deck
Application times: 1) 10:00 to 10:20 a.m. and 2) 1:00 to 1:20 p.m.
Program times: 1) from 10:30 a.m. and 2) from 1:30 p.m.

● Other events
Kiyari (working song) and matoifuri (banner waving) by the Shinagawa Matoi Conservation Society, from 11:30 a.m. (subject to change)
• Demonstration of police dog rescue techniques to search for persons who need help, from noon (subject to change)
• Demonstration of the Fire Rescue Task Forces (also known as Hyper Rescue), from 12:30 p.m. (subject to change)
• Ride a miniature fire truck and try on firefighter clothing and a firefighter hanten coat
• Free servings of tonjiru (pork and veggie miso soup) prepared by the Japan Self-Defense Forces (limited to 300 servings, on a first-come, first-served basis)
• Free servings of Japanese curry rice prepared by Shinagawa City (limited to 800 servings, on a first-come, first-served basis)

There will be various other booths related to disaster prevention.
