The Thirty-Third Shinagawa Disaster Prevention Fair

Keeping in mind the lessons learned from previous earthquakes and disasters, Shinagawa City holds the Shinagawa Disaster Prevention Fair so that everyone in our city can improve their disaster prevention skills in preparation for a major metropolitan earthquake and various disasters.
Date and time: March 11 (Sat.), 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Location: Shinagawa Chuo Park, Shinagawa City Office Dai-ni Chosha 2F (Shinagawa Disaster Prevention Experience Hall) and 3F

● Jijo-kun Point Rally!
You can earn points at the booths at the event and win a prize at the event lottery at Shinagawa Disaster Prevention Experience Hall.

● Enjoying games as a family at the festival corner (Shinagawa City Office Dai-ni Chosha 2F, Shinagawa Disaster Prevention Experience Hall)
• Playing with water-type fire extinguishers, yo-yo fishing, ring toss, playing with styrofoam blocks, old-fashioned games corner and more

● Fire department ladder truck ride (Shinagawa Chuo Park heliport)
• Twenty pairs of participants selected by lottery in the morning and afternoon can board a fire department ladder truck
Lottery application: At Shinagawa Chuo Park heliport (multipurpose area), accepted from 1) 10 to 10:20 a.m., 2) 1 to 1:20 p.m.

● Other events
• Kiyari (working song) and matoifuri (banner waving) by the Shinagawa Matoi Conservation Society, from 11:30 a.m.
• Demonstration of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Mobile Rescue Unit, from noon
• Demonstration of the Fire Rescue Task Forces (also known as Hyper Rescue), from 12:30 p.m.
