Gotanda Space Museum

The Space Museum event will be held at the Gotanda Cultural Center.
Dates and time:
September 10 (Sat.), 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (subject to change)
September 11 (Sun.) 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (subject to change)
(Admission is until 4:30 p.m. on both days)
Location: Gotanda Cultural Center (6-5-1, Nishi-Gotanda)
Admission is free of charge.

★ Planetarium—English-Language Program
September 10 (Sat.), 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. (subject to change)
Location: Planetarium (5F)
Program: An explanation of the stars appearing that night, and an introduction to the constellations and planets that can be seen during autumn.
Capacity: 86 persons
Note: Reservations are not required. Simply come to the venue on the day of the event.

★ Keynote Lecture
Date and time: September 10 (Sat.), 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. (subject to change)
Location: Music Hall (B1F)
Lecturer: Naoko Yamazaki, astronaut
Application: Apply to the Gotanda Cultural Center by postage-paid reply postcard no later than August 15 (Mon.) (must be received by this date), giving the names (with furigana), ages and telephone numbers of all participants.

★ Moon Rock (Genuine) Exhibition
Items related to Project Apollo will be on exhibit.

★ Mini-Planetarium
You can take a commemorative photo with the stars as they appeared on your birthday or wedding anniversary.

★ Workshop
Launch water rockets, do vacuum experiments, etc.

There are also various other hands-on experience corners.

Note:Except for the planetarium’s English-language program, all other explanations, lectures and exhibits are in Japanese.
