Consumer Life and Social Contribution Activities Exhibition
A rich life and connected community in 2016

An introduction to and exhibition of the activities carried out by different groups active in their respective Shinagawa City communities.
Dates: February 13 (Sat.) and 14 (Sun.), 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Curian (in front of Oimachi Station)
Program:
● Exhibition space (7F event hall)
Exhibitions by city-based NPOs, consumer groups and businesses. Exhibits by more than 50 groups involved with food, childrearing, nursing care, health, hobbies, recycle and other subjects. There will also be a special sale of early harvest wakame seaweed from Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, a knife-sharpening corner ( ¥500 per knife, up to two knives per person, maximum of 80 people) and other special events. Please bring an eco-friendly shopping bag with you.

● Presentations (7F event hall)
Includes a cheerleading routine, a fashion show of remade children’s clothes, and singing and musical performances from various community groups.

● Toy Hospital (6F mid-sized meeting room)
February 13 (Sat.), 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (requests accepted until 3:00 p.m.)
Broken toys repaired for free.

● Make owls from cloth ( 6F mid-sized meeting room)
February 14 (Sun.)
① 10:30 a.m. to noon ② 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Capacity: 25peason each (first come, first served basis)
Fee: ¥400

● Children’s Play and Learn Corner (5F Rooms 1・2)
February 14 (Sun.), 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Classes:

  • Craft class ① Make a sparkling kaleidoscope ② Make a “take(bamboo)-copter”

Capacity: For Grades 1–3 of elementary school ① 50 children ② 30 children (first come, first served basis)

  • Craft class using tree branches
