Small and Medium Enterprises’ Center Festival

There will be many events at the festival, such as exhibits of clubs that conducts activities at the Small and Medium Enterprises’ Center, concerts, and demonstrations of traditional crafts. You can also enjoy the taste of Shinagawa.
Date and time: May 23 (Sat.) and 24 (Sun.), 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

- Exhibits of artwork (photography, flower arrangement, pressed flower art, calligraphy, painting, seal engraving, tanka, picture postcard art, and more)
- Demonstrations of traditional crafts (“Barber & hair setting scissors” by Kinji Shinpo &“ Edo-style facetted glass” by Katsuhisa Kawabe) Shinagawa Traditional Crafts Preservation Group members;
- Various consultation services on topics such as pension
- Goods for sale corner
- Sale of traditional Shinagawa flavors, including grilled dumplings, Japanese confections, and more
- Shinagawa Souvenirs Promotion Section
○ May 23 (Sat.) Only
- Go classes for beginning and intermediate players, taught by Professionals, 10:00 a.m. to noon
- Housing consultation corner
- Family concert (Shinagawa Classical Music Society), 1:00 to 3:45p.m.
- Fureai Workshop products sale corner (handmade accessories, recycled bicycles (sale ends when all item are sold) and more)
○ May 24 (Sun.) Only
- Go classes for elementary school children and older, taught by professionlas, 10:00 a.m. to noon.
- Knife-sharpening (up to two knives per person; reception open until 2:00 p.m.)
- Family woodcrafts class (making mosaic tiles and nameplates)
- Tea ceremony
- Sunday Concert Special (Shinagawa Classical Music Society), 1:00 to 3:45 p.m.
