Why Not Relax at the City’s Resort Facilities?

Shinagawa City has two resort facilities that city residents can use at discount rates. One is Shinagawa-so, located in Ito (Shizuoka Prefecture), a hot springs resort area on the Izu Peninsula blessed with a mild climate, hot springs and plenty of fresh seafood cuisine. The other resort, Korin-so, is located in Nikko (Tochigi Prefecture), which is a registered UNESCO World Heritage site. Visitors can enjoy both Nikko’s rich natural scenery and Japan’s cultural heritage. Since Korin-so has a gymnasium and meeting rooms, it can also be used for training and camps. We hope that you’ll invite family and friends to these resorts for seasonal leisure outings and during the New Year holidays.

Reservation period: For those living and/or working in Shinagawa City, reservations are accepted from the first of the month up to six months before the desired date of use. For those living outside of Shinagawa City, the period is from the first of the month up to four months before the desired date of use.
Notes:
1. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. However, a lottery is held during peak seasons (see below), and the deadline for reservations is the end of the month in which the reservation period begins. Reservations for the year-end/New Year holidays are accepted together with reservations for January.
2. The reservations/availability status is shown on the websites of these two resort facilities (in Japanese only)

Application: Apply directly by phone or fax to the resort facility you want to use, or fill in the reservation form on the website of the facility (Shinagawa-so: www.shinagawasou.com/mailform/; Korin-so: www.korinsou.com/mailform/; both are in Japanese only). When you do so, you will need to give the name, address and telephone number of your group’s representative, as well as the desired dates and the number of people in your group. Please have someone who reads Japanese complete the application (hours: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
Note: No stuff members speak English.
