Shinagawa Eco Festival 2014—Volunteer Work That Strengthens Bonds

Enjoy various exhibits and attractions concerning the environment with family and friends while learning, thinking, talking, and doing something about the environment.
Date and time: May 25 (Sun.), 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Note: Will be held even in light rain
Locations: Shinagawa Chuo Park (in front of the Shinagawa City Office) and Small and Medium Enterprises’ Center (1-28-3 Nishi-Shinagawa)

Shinagawa Chuo Park

  • Environmentally friendly workshop
  • Flea market
  • Environment exhibition booths
  • Booths selling food, drink, and other products
  • Stage performances (from 10:35 a.m.: Eco Ranger Show; from 11:05 a.m.: wa-daiko traditional Japanese drum performance; from 11:35 a.m.: Ultraman × Ranma-Sensei Eco Science Performance; from 12:40 p.m.: creative bamboo instrument performance; from 1:10 p.m.: Family ties, children’s clothes fashion show; from 1:30 p.m.: Shinagawa hero “Krayverz” stage; from 1:50 p.m.: musical concert; from 2:20 p.m.: Love & Peace Concert and more)
  • Ground attractions (band performances, dance performances, bouncy castle, soccer experience, and more)
  • Electric vehicle test rides (10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.)
  • Fuel and battery-operated vehicle test drives (10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.)
  • Collection of unwanted gardening soil and free distribution of recycled gardening soil

Small and Medium Enterprises’ Center 3F Small Meeting Room

  • Solar crafts class (we will make a F1 cars powered by sunlight)

Date and time: 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
Capacity: Those who are in the third grade of elementary school and older; maximum of 30 people on a first-come, first-served basis
Fee: 1,000 yen
Participation procedures: Apply on the day of the event from 11:30 a.m. at the tent next to the Park Maintenance Office
