Why Not Participate in Disaster Preparedness Drills in Your Community?

Comprehensive disaster preparedness drills are conducted in 13 districts in Shinagawa City. The disaster preparedness drill in Shinagawa Dai-ni District will be staffed by volunteer interpreters, so please participate even if you are not confident about your Japanese.
Date and time: October 27 (Sun.), 9:00 a.m. to noon
Location: Jonan Elementary School (2-8-21 Minami-Shinagawa)
Program: Practice first-stage firefighting, emergency first aid (such as using an automated external defibrillator [AED]) and more.
Languages: English, Chinese, and Korean
Eligibility: Foreign residents who live, work, or go to school in Shinagawa City
To apply: Send a fax marked “Shinagawa Disaster Preparedness Drill” that lists your name, address, telephone number, and preferred language no later than Thursday, October 10, to the International Affairs Subsection, Community Promotion Section (Tel: 5742-6691; Fax: 5742-6878).
