School Entrance Notifications Will Be Mailed to Those Entering Municipal Elementary or Junior High School
A school entrance notification with information on orientation and other school-related matters for children entering school in April 2011 will be mailed on December 6 (Mon.) for junior high schools and on December 13 (Mon.) for elementary schools. Please contact the School Affairs Section if any of the following applies:
● Your child is entering a national or private school.
● Your child is not able to start school due to illness or another unavoidable reason.
● There is an error in the notification, such as in the address, name, date of birth, or parent’s name.
● You are planning to move within or out of Shinagawa City.

○ Entrance Procedures for Foreign Residents
Please complete the designated procedures at the School Affairs Section as early as possible if you are a foreign resident and would like to enroll your child in a municipal elementary school or if your child is planning to graduate from a municipal elementary school in March 2011 and you would like to enroll him/her in a municipal junior high school but have not yet completed the enrollment procedure.
