Why Not Participate in Disaster Preparedness Drills in Your Community?

Comprehensive disaster preparedness drills are conducted in 13 districts in Shinagawa City.
The disaster preparedness drill in Shinagawa Dai-ichi District will be staffed by volunteer interpreters, so please participate even if you are not confident about your Japanese.

Date and Time: October 17 (Sun.), 8:45 to 11:00 a.m.
Location: Daiba Elementary School (1-8-30 Higashi-Shinagawa)
Program: Practice putting out a fire with a fire extinguisher, learn how to give emergency first aid (using an automated external defibrillator [AED]), take part in an evacuation drill in a smoke-filled room, etc.
Languages: English, Chinese, and Korean
Eligibility: Foreign residents who live in Shinagawa City
Application: Send a fax or e-mail to International Affairs of the Community Promotion Section (Tel: 5742-6691, Fax: 5742-6878, E-mail: chikikat@city.shinagawa.tokyo.jp ) no later than September 17 (Fri.). Please include the phrase “Disaster Preparedness Drill” and give your name, address, telephone number, and to which language you would like interpreted.
