Supplementary Income Payment (Teigaku Kyufukin) Application Forms Have Been Mailed to Individuals

Application forms have been mailed to those who are eligible. If you have received a form, please complete it and mail it back as soon as possible. If you have not received a form, please call the number above.

● Eligibility
Those who are registered as of February 1, 2009, (standard date) in the Shinagawa City Foreign Resident Registration. (This excludes those who are staying here illegally and those on short-term stays.)
Note: Your eligibility and term of residence must be valid not only on February 1 but also at the time your application is approved.

○ The following are eligible as well:
• Children who were born on February 1, 2009
• Those who belonged to a household of two or more people but died on or after February 1, 2009
Note: Please call for more information.

○ To those who filed a notification of moving to Shinagawa City on or after February 2, 2009:
The municipality where you were a registered resident on February 1 will provide your Supplementary Income Payment. Because you will not receive a notice from Shinagawa City Office, please call the office of the municipal where you were a registered resident on February 1 for more information.

● Payment Amount
The amount differs according to one’s age as of February 1, 2009
Those between 19 and 64 years of age: ¥12,000
Those who are 18 years of age or younger (born on or after February 2, 1990): ¥20,000
Those who are 65 years of age or older (born on or before February 2, 1944): ¥20,000

△ Application Forms Are Mailed to Individuals
Please call if you have not received an application form. Application forms can be obtained at a consultation service counter (Dai-ni Chosha 3F Lobby) or at your local Chiiki Center (community center).

△ File Your Application as Early as Possible
Please check the information written on the form to ensure it is accurate before mailing it back. Also, when returning the completed application form, please enclose the applicant’s certified copy of foreign resident registration and financial account information. To facilitate the smooth processing of the payment, please return the required documents as soon as possible.
Note:The application deadline is September 16 (Wed.), 2009.

△ The Payment Will Be Transferred to Your Financial Account
After your application and related documents have been screened, a confirmation/rejection notice will be mailed to you. As a rule, the payment is transferred to the account of the individual. To facilitate the smooth and speedy processing of the payment, please select the financial account transfer method to receive your payment.
Note: For those who prefer to receive the payment in cash due to such reasons as not having a financial account, please bring your foreign resident registration card to the location on the date and time designated on the confirmation/rejection notice in or after mid-June.
