Changes to Shinagawa City Organization Names Made in April

To accommodate new programs and offer even better services, Shinagawa City Office has changed the names of administrative sections and systems.


Office Names That Have Changed:

●NHI and Pension Section
(Former) Specially-Designated Health Instruction Desk
(New) Health Instruction Subsection

●Administration and Construction Section

(Former) Ledger Boundary Subsection
(New) Boundary Confirmation Subsection

●Construction Section

(Former) Building Structural Consultation Desk
(New) Earthquake Resistance Promotion Desk


New Subsections and Services to Be Promoted:


●Community Support Desk (Roads and Parks Section)
Comprehensive city planning in local communities will be promoted.

●School Affairs Information Management Desk (School Affairs Section)

The security system utilized to protect information concerning school affairs will be reinforced.


Reorganized Systems and Services to Be Promoted:


●NHI and Pension Section
The Management Subsection has been reorganized into the Management Subsection No. 1 and Management Subsection No. 2.
The system under which insurance premiums are collected will be reinforced.

●Senior Citizens’ Affairs Section:

The Elderly Medical Liaison Desk has been merged with the Elderly Medical Subsection.
The smooth operation of the Medical Care System for Older Senior Citizens will be facilitated.

●Shinagawa City Waste Collection Office:

The Shinagawa Office and Ebara Office have been merged into the Operation Subsection.
Efficient collection systems will be organized.

●Higashi-Gotanda Children’s Center and Ito Children’s Center:
The Children’s Section was transferred to the jurisdiction of the Nursery Section.
Child-raising programs for infants and toddlers will be supported by operating nursery schools and children’s centers under one system.
