Why Not Enjoy Cherry Blossom Viewing?
Introduction to Viewing Spots in Shinagawa City

In Japan, there is a custom called hanami, in which people go out with family, friends, and coworkers to view cherry blossoms from late March through early April. Why not enjoy this Japanese custom of hanami? Here are a few flower-viewing spots in Shinagawa City.

Shinagawa Kumin Park
1.Shinagawa Kumin Park (3-2 Katsushima)
This is the largest municipal park in the city. The park is divided into different areas—cherry blossom plaza, sports plaza, fountain plaza, play plaza, and lake plaza—and there are always families with children in the park no matter what time of year it is. Because there is also an aquarium in the park, why not stop by after viewing the cherry blossoms?(A five-minute walk from Tachiaigawa Station or Omori Kaigan Station)

This park is located on the east side of Samezu Station. On the north side of the park, there are such play equipment as slides and sandboxes. There are usually a lot of families with children having fun in the play zone. (A seven-minute walk from Kita-Shinagawa Station)

6.Togoshi Park (2-1 Yutakacho)

Visitors can fully enjoy the atmosphere generated by approximately 20 beautiful cherry blossom trees and a samurai estate. (A seven-minute walk from Togoshi Koen Station)

7.Gotanda Park (5-24 and 5-25 Higashi-Gotanda)
