School Entrance Notification Will Be Mailed to Those Entering a Municipal Elementary or Junior High School

A School Entrance Notification, with information on orientation and other school-related matters for children entering school in April 2008, will be mailed on December 10 (Mon.) for junior high schools and on December 17 (Mon.) for elementary schools. Please contact the School Affairs Section if:

• Your child is entering a national or private school.
  
• Your child is not able to start school due to illness or another unavoidable reason.
  
• There is an error in the notification, such as in the address, name, date of birth, or parent’s name.
  
• You are planning to move within or out of Shinagawa City.
  

Entrance Procedures for Foreign Residents
Please enroll by January 11 (Fri.) at the School Affairs Section if you are a foreign resident and would like to enroll your child in a municipal elementary school, or if your child is planning to complete elementary school in March 2008 and would like to enroll in a municipal junior high school.
