Enjoy Sports

September through November is fall in Japan and is a comfortable season for enjoying arts, playing sports, enjoying meals, reading, and doing other activities. This time of year is especially suited to exercising, so why not enjoy sports?

Use Group registration is required to use these facilities. If any space is available after registered groups draw lots, application of non-registered groups will be accepted one month in advance on a first come, first served basis.




Municipal Gymnasiums
Sogo Gymnasium (2-11-2 Higashi-Gotanda)
This complex, consisting of the Sogo Gymnasium and Shinagawa City Unified Elementary through Junior High School Hinogakuen, opened in April of last year. Equipped with the latest facilities, it affords the convenient enjoyment of sports. There is a heated pool on the first floor that can be used by individuals when the school is not using it.

Togoshi Gymnasium (2-1-17 Yutakacho)
Togoshi Gymnasium, a 4-minute walk from Togoshi Koen Station, is surrounded by greenery. At the gym, visitors can enjoy playing badminton, basketball, volleyball, tennis and other sports. The facility is equipped with a martial arts hall and recreation rooms, where you can enjoy dancing and playing table tennis.

The gyms offer classes in which you can enjoy playing and learning such sports as table tennis, badminton and basketball. Please call for more information.

* First-time users must complete registration procedures. Please bring some form of identification that indicates that you live, work or go to school in the city.
Fee: ¥200 each time (¥100 for junior high school students or younger)
