Paper Used for Certificates of Registered Items in the Foreign Resident Registry and Other Certificates Has Changed

As of May 1, the paper used for the following certificates has changed:
- Certificates of Registered Items in the Foreign Resident Registry
- Copies of Resident Registration Slips (for Japanese)
- Moving Out of Shinagawa Certificates (for Japanese)
- Special City Resident’s Tax, Metropolitan Resident’s Tax (Taxation, Tax Payment and Non-Taxable) Certificates
When a color copier or scanner is used with the new paper, the word “mukoh (invalid)” appears in a different color, making it more difficult to produce a counterfeit or altered certificate.
